Sometimes, it can happen that your gateway is online and connected properly to the internet but one of your devices does not communicate.
Here are the procedures that Droople recommends to do to reset the iLink when it is not communicating properly with the platform.
Keep in mind that the procedure is a little different whether you have an iLink with a flow sensor or an iLink with a pressure sensor.

A. Flow sensor

  1. Check if your gateway is online and connected to the internet. If not, you can find the gateways' user manual here
  2. Disconnect the iLink from the sensor.
  3. Remove the 3 screws from the lid with the screwdriver provided and open the device.
  1. Open the iLink and remove the battery. You need to use a Torx T8 screwdriver to open the iLink.

  1. Check the battery voltage (should be around 3.6V if the battery is ok) - order a battery tester on Amazon - order new batteries on Amazon

  1. Connect the iLink to the sensor
  2. Put the battery back in the iLink

  1. Within 2 minutes, you should see the iLink online if it is in range of the gateway.
  2. Let water flow for 10 seconds (if possible). Within 10 minutes, you should see data if the connection to the sensor is correct.

You can check the health status of your device on the platform by looking at the "Health Status" column

Bear in mind that a faulty connection between the iLink and the sensor will lead in the worst case to a dead battery as it will create a short-circuit.
We already have noticed that some people have forced the M8 connectors during the installation: the M8 connectors between the iLink and the sensor should be connected smoothly.
If it doesn't connect smoothly it means it is not properly aligned as there is only one correct position. (see picture below)

B. Pressure sensor

  1. Check if your gateway is online and connected to the internet. If not, you can find the gateways user manual here
  2. Disconnect the iLink from the sensor.
  3. Open the iLink and remove the battery.
